I stopped in at my local habitat for humanity store today, never know what you'll find.

Came across this marineland branded tank. Has space for 3 sections. Waterfall return. A sump and chiller unit underneath. I think its a lobster tank from a grocery store or resturant. Anyone ever seen a unit like this?

Ooh, that would be an excellent catfish tank :hearts:.

PayPal me $250 +shipping costs and I'll go get it for you.

I found the manual on that thing on marine lands sight. Its 140 gallon.

I'm curious how much this thing was new, had to been $2,000 or so for a commercial unit with chiller,

Hello; I have seen these and most of the time the glass is very scratched. My guess is the lobsters scratched while milling around. These units would be near the seating area and I think the patrons could pick out a live lobster. Then in the pot it would go.

It looks like someone should turn that into a touch tank. If I had the money and space I’d have to have one!

Cushion stars and cold water urchins!
With maybe some green flower anemones and limpets!

Never could stand sitting next to a lobster tank. So inhumane. Certainly couldn’t order lobster while sitting next to it’s cousins!

Hello; I never did as well but because lobster is not good enough for the cost. As far as the killing goes unless we eat our meat foods alive they must be killed. Not sure any one way is better than another.
