I only have one of these guys right now last year I found like 30 of them in the feeder goldfish tanks along with crayfish, mosquito fish and tadpoles at the LFS
I believe it's a green sunfish??? it's about 2 inches long and pretty aggressive for it's size
It lives with my feeders and darter of some sort found in same tank!
There not the greatest quality of pics he will not stay still and the lighting is horrible

Nice, yea I had one awhile back and raised him up to about 7 inches. The cichlids never ate him and he lived with them for almost 3 years. Lol. I wonder how there getting into the feeder goldfish population?

Natives commonly breeding in these rearing ponds of feeder fishes.

You should try and take another picture possibly a side few and then we can give you a actual answer. Looking at it right now at this angle it could be a number of different types of sunfish. But I don't think it's a green
