Ok, ok, sorry, just frazzle brained a little. Hi, I'm new to MFK and tanking in general. I started off with some bettas. Some became a ton which upset the hubby. Thinking he might have a new perspective on how "cool" fish were if I got him a "Shark" I bought an Iridescent Shark Catfish from Walmart under the falsified information that they will only reach a max of 8 inches. Brought him home - had the desired effect (the hubby that he was pretty darn cool!) but then we started doing a google search for how to take care of him and BOY OH BOY you can imagine what we found.
I am one shunned wifey in the dog house now!
So I went online and bought a much bigger tank (and bigger to us is 60gal, even if that's not big 'enough'). The mr. couldn't fathom anything grander in the house and he's not happy with my new collection of fish, tanks, heaters, and filters... he already thinks I caused the electric bill to skyrocket (even though I've had them all less than a month so whatever was on last months bill... toooootally not my fault
There has been some 'talk' about putting a pond outside to house the IS but we're still looking into the logistics. I was told to return him to walmart but I couldnt for lack of receipt. Likewise, I couldnt fathom returning him to a 1gal tank stuffed in with 20 more just like him that would get picked up (if at all) by another somebody without the room to house him.
LONG Story Short:::: That all led me to this forum, which I'm still trying to learn the traffic patterns of XD
