they are amazing... love to see them on stage in person

Wow...it's like being "high" without being "high". Great Post.

Yes it would be awesome to see them perform live.

But it's not in the stars. They are on Tour. They performed in Germany at the end of last month.

I have Chinese ancestors that moved to the Philippines over a hundred years ago. I'm a Philippine born American citizen visiting China for the first time to connect with long forgotten cousins.

The previous link was sent to me by one of the cousins with this note...

This is truly fantastic.....

Thosand-Hand Guanyin

Be sure you read this note before you watch it

This is an awesome dance, called the Thousand-Hand Guanyin.
Considering the tight coordination required, their accomplishment is
Nothing short of amazing, even if they were not all DEAF. Yes, you
Read correctly. All 21 of the dancers are complete deaf-mutes. Relying
Only on signals from trainers at the four corners of the stage, these
Extraordinary dancers deliver a visual spectacle that is at once
Intricate and stirring. Its first major international debut was in
Athens at the closing ceremonies for the 2004 Paralympics.
But it had long been in the repertoire of the China Disabled People's
Performing Art Troupe and had traveled to more than 40 countries.
Its lead dancer is 29-year-old Tai Lihua, who has a BA from The Hubei
Fine Arts Institute. The video was recorded in Beijing during the Spring Festival celebrations this year.

I found this link on utube of their last week's performance in Germany high quality video recording...

Beautiful dance!!! That would be extremely complex for normal people, which makes the fact that they're disabled even more impressive!
