Hello all, I joined originally looking to build a plywood tank. Well things haven't worked out so I ended up with a 10G cherry shrimp tank. Luckily MFK has forums for everything! So onto the problem, I have been pulling something fly larvae out for the last month or so, probably about 15 in all. I dont know what they are but the heads look like dragonflies. Then the other day I saw a wierd thing "scooting" around the tank. Looks like a half adult size cherry shrimp with a clear body and black stripes. It has a short tail that is usually underneath its body, and its rear 4 legs seem to just drag as it moves. Has not shown any aggression towards the other shrimp but I took it out just in case. I posted a little video on youtube for help ID'ing hopefully. Its a bad quality video, but the best I can do.

It's a scud. You have hundreds by now. Harmless and a great snack for most everything else. The larval stage looks like cyclops and you can see females carrying egg masses. I have thousands. Love the buggers. Google "gammarus" and you'll be hot on the trail.
