We've decimated our oceans through over-harvest of all of the large fish. This book details the history of ocean management, commercial fishing practices and policy. It also offers opinions on the sustainable management of our fisheries and the benefits as well as the detriments of aquaculture. It takes 20 pounds of food input to produce one pound of edible commercially farmed tuna meat. As fishkeepers, we've seen the detriment of over-harvest in many species such as the Bangai Cardinalfish and the Asian Arowanas. This is an interesting read if you are interested in the policy that pertains to management of our ocean and freshwater resources.

what ocean management? the plan must have been supplied by the same people that came up with our population management.
