theres many of these at a local pond that are pretty small. what would i feed one if caught? i was thinking small bugs like flies, small beetles or something like that.

Depending on size you will need to feed it baby isopods, flightless fruit flies, blackworms, pinhead crickets etc. If they are bigger, small beetles, isopods, worms, crickets and other insects can be feed. Make sure to give them a varying diet. Toads are GREAT eaters!

Be careful with wild caught insects because of diseases and pesticides or bugs that are toxic or harmful to toads.

CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR HAVING THIS AS PETS!

Enjoy and good luck! ;)

yea i set up a 20L and it will hopefully go well
