this spilo got mugged by his tank mates (4 caribas and 4 spilos)
his guts were hanging out after the incident, I took a fishing hook and some dental floss and sewed him back up. He healed and lived a semi productive life (about 2 1\2 years) not bad for a fish with no tale and only half his guts.
Piranhas are amazing

To each his own .
Piranha are tough , I have a two year old RBP That had its back eaten off ,
It looks good today and is a healthy fish , You never would have guess it was
missing half of its body at one point in time .

i got a RBP that got bit up pretty bad at the fish store and now has a flat spot on his head but he's fine now that he has room to swimm

He got two stiches to hold his guts in.
The pic was taken about a year later.

I was most amazed at how the rear fin grew and took place of the tail.
He had definate balance issues but he got along.
