Now that my stand is in and all level I started on the scape. So far I've added 120lbs of sand and positioned the driftwood I had been saving for this build. This will be a planted tank when finished. Still have lots to do but ran out of time.

That's an interesting piece of driftwood from the angle it reminds me of fictional movies with the elephant type beast's head and multiple tusks. It will probably lose that element once planted but I think it's cool.

I'm not really gonna Plant too much by it to obscure it. I like the strangeness of the piece and don't want to hide it too much.

That's a sweet piece of driftwood. I'm not sure of your plans but I'd say add a few more large pieces and a few smaller twig like ones. And I agree don't plant much around that driftwood.

That's my plan. Another decent size one I have that already has a Java fern growing on it. A few other small pieces and some rock.

Was able to finish it up today. Decide to go with a little more rock than driftwood. All my other tanks have been full of driftwood, wanted to try something different. The lights are two different kinds until my Finnex leds come Monday.

Gonna have 9 rainbows, 7 angels, 5 clown loaches, 3 to 5 Geophagus tapajos and some cory cats. But eventually this will be a discus tank. I'll have about 10 to 12 of them in there.
