freakin sad

so im working on my latest buy a 90 gal tank, just got done putting a sweet custom pinstripe(alien) from top corner to back bottom corner it was good looking (i thought) , so i ask the nearest idiot to help me carry it into the garage....and what do you know,it gets dropped, been moving it by myself for weeks, no problem ....THEN...well my bad for asking i guess...the question is : will plexiglass bond with glass using silicone or am i damned to buying glass to repair?, cause as i have found there are not a lot of aquariums here in az.. well at poverty level prices , paid 100$. anywho, any help would be appreciated.thanks

No glass and acrylic wont mix. I'm afraid you'll have to find a replacement pane and get to work or scrap the tank and find a new one.

What a big disappointment!. Also hope your careless friend realized what a danger dropping a tank is, could cut you up real bad.

well perhaps its fate telling me to get a bigger tank, i mean my clown knife isnt gonna suddenly quit growing,unless i try to take it for a walk anyhow.HEY anyone in AZ got a 150, 200 gal tank for sale ?cheap?doesnt hurt to ask..LOL. hey thanks everyone,again ,this site is verry cool, much better than certain "brand x" sites i have been to. CHEERS!!

True, manager at my the old lfs i worked at was carrying a tank upstairs and fell ontop of it, his arm was nasty (and i only saw scars). He has no feeling in it and almost lost all movement of it.

with Wolf3101 (just don't scrap it, look for a reclamation facility that removes stuff from condemned buildings etc. They usually have a wide assortment of glass to offer.)

But glad to see you found the bright side of it tho . think craigslist.

The really sad part of all this is that yesturday I was at this house here in town that was an eviction type deal and everything was free. They had a 125 with two cracked sides and missing frames...and a 90 Long with a broken back plate. I don't have the storage room at the moment so I let them go.

did some calling around and found that petsmart about 60 miles away carries a 150 galon for 250 dollars not too bad and closer to the size i should move up to. does this sound like a normal price? as i have never bought from one of these chain stores, i guess the question is , would quality be a concern? they must have some sort of warrenty but i hate to have to use such a thing.
