Freddie sexing?

That's pretty neat, he must have been mislabeled. Not that I dont trust your judgement, but can anyone support this theory? I have no preference because I like the guy and I'm happily keeping him either way. I also had him pegged as a male because of the way he acts with the female Trimac in the one photo and the female con in the tank. Thanks for the lead.

Well then my pellets must be precursing the hell out of it because the fish has been really yellow recently. But you think it's a female, and you agree it is a losielli? It does have a weird blue tinge to above its line, not that I am an expert on either Freddie's or Losielli but in the last few minutes I have googled it and I noticed that some of the pictures of Losielli were similar. Can you give me any more info on these guys in relation to the Freddie's? What's the real difference?

That is perfect. I read a bit while Im eating breakfast here, Ill have to finish it when I get home later. That pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much.

Very informative. Interestingly enough this fish has already survived a 9 inch male Jag breeding in the same tank. I only added that Trimac last week when I moved the fry to its grow out tank. Lucky I guess.

After doing some research I am convinced this fish is a Losielli but am not convinced it's female. I took as many shots as I could and if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. I am getting conflicting reports about the reddish coloration on the fins, some say that indicates male, others female. I think its a male due to it's attempts at lip locking with the female Trimac and Con. It is also incredibly aggressive, which differs from what I hear about these fish, but it is a parachromis so it doesn't surprise me. Any help would be great.
