Just so proud of this guy cant wait for him to mature. Hes hella tough on his tankmates even a 10" bichir. This 220 might end up with a pair of freddies instead of the community i had planned. Ive always had huge tanks with either an umbee pair, or a dovii pair. Thought maybe this time would be different, at 3" this guy is dominating. The second picture is the other fred im starting think its a male as well so he may be getting moved on like the others. 20180719_022755.jpg

Just an observation, in nature freddy's, (and any Parachromis for that matter) do not get to eat everyday, and need to work to catch every meal, so they are very sleek. I only feed my predatory cichlids once per day, and skip a day of feeding every third day or so in order to keep them in good health.
Below is a video of Aktun Ha Cenote near Tulum, where they are found in nature.
It was raining the day I took the video so a little murky, but was able to get close to a female at about 1 minute, There are a few long shots of some others occasionally throughout. Keep volume down to not here my breathing and clearing of the snorkel.
They share habitat with Astyanax tetras, live bearers, and introduced Tilapines.
