Well i might be able to snag a free 150 gallon tank.....but according to the guy part of the bottom is missing and there is a crack on the back of the tank. Are both of these relatively fixable, and can it be done cheaply? i've already looked at the stickied guide at the top, but it doesn't say anything about cracks, and i'm not sure about the bottom part.

I don't know about you, but I never had the feeling that a broken tank was "worth the trouble" But then again, that's just me.

my 220 was cracked and i fixed it holds water fine now i'd replace the bottom pane for sure if its missing a piece. I had glass lying around so all it cost me was silicone and time

Sweet deal, 426.

And yeah - didn't think of a reptile enclosure - good one!

i'm not much for reptiles, but what i'm hoping is that the rear is just cracked, which i think i should be able to reinforce with some glass or acrylic depending on the tank, and then bottom i'm hoping is just a piece missing, which i will just silicon a piece over it and then test it to see if it'll hold water. if it doesn't hold water all i've wasted is time and a very small amount of money.

I don't think acrylic will stick - Where do people get glass "patches" anyway? Keep us updated!

I do not think silicone will adhere to both. I have heard something to that effect on here.

is it possible to get a piece of panel of glass and cover the whole inside of the tank and jsut silicon that in. the crack will still be there but it will be behind the broke glass
