I got it for free in a 50 gallon. Yay. It eats well and poops better. I don't know if it has much taste for algae (none in my tank apparent for it to eat), but it grubs on catfish, silversides, sinking pellets and really anything else that hits the bottom.
P.S. NO, I did not buy the fish, it is currently in my 150gal, but I do not want a 24" plec in there when it grows up. If you want the fish, you must have at least a 100gal tank to house it in.
