Sadly I was misinformed about this gar was labeled and told it was in fact a juvenile spotted gar at time of purchase he was 3-4 inches and i was naive and didnt know much about gars. Hes around 8-10 inches long will know for sure when i go to move him to his new tank however long term I dont see Myself being able to care for this fish the way it needs. He has a 7x2x2 tank for now but will obviously outgrow that if anyone with a pond or is interested in him/her please let me know. I'm willing to ship or meet half way if its reasonable, as time goes on hes going to become more complicated to move for now he will still fit in a bucket

Hey,if you come around Bronx or Yonkers let me know,,I can take him ,I have 500g tanks and ponds,,and I have a few of them, much larger , don't listen to people doo,,you still have a long time before he gets big enough that you have to give him away,, they dont grow that fast,,depends on the speices,,i have some in 500g tanks ,feed everyday day and they only grow up to 1/2 per month,, I check my fish all the time,, I only keep monster fish so I know which fish grows faster, I have ponds with "36 and plus red tails and other cat and they only grow up to 1-1/2 per month on a good diet,my fish are 3 years old now,,

Honestly this was really nice to hear cause that's not far for me at all and he is still obviously really small and I've gotten a lot of mixed numbers on growth rates and as much as I love the fish eventually he will out grow my system and what I can reasonably provide so what ever is easier for you, based on your experience how long would you say I have until hes going to outgrow that tank.

Hey,,your tank is good enough for him till his a good "20. Or a bit bigger,,they are not big swimmers they mostly wait for food,,and honestly they are beautifull when bigger and not aggressive at all if you feed him good,, feed him a good diet of sea foods,pellets, etc,,mime are "24 and beautifull,, people tend to go over board and talk ****,,but at the end they don't know **** about monster fish,, and most can't afford big tanks and get jeoulus of other , your fish will be fine for a long time,,you can even add 3 more fish and he will be happier,, I have mine with parron sharks and huge iris sharks and they are happy,, on 500g tank ,,all my tanks are 10 feet long by 3 feet deep ,,but up to you,,we can meet sometime and I will give him a good home,, I never sell my fish,, so don't worry,,

Well For now hes only 11 inches, I just Added him to the big tank and I can already tell hes lonely he does have tank mates I just don't want to stock the tank too quickly since its new. I was thinking I'll hold onto him just to watch him grow and mature and become a little monster unless you'd prefer him smaller and enjoy that process yourself then we could arrange you getting him sooner than later

If I take him he would go on a 265g tank with my small fish,, this is my grow out tank,, till he gets much bigger and then the bigger tanks,,,I have an open door for your fish,, but I would enjoy him for a while watch him grow,,let me know how much he grow by next month lol,, they enjoy drift wood and dark areas on the tank,,as they like to wait for the food,,at the bottom,,

Negative if your gator gar grows 1/2” a month. Please euthanize him. You are causing it to grow with great agony and pain. You have no idea what your saying probably due to the fact you failed in their husbandry and caring for them. I’ve seen your threads, most of your tank tops out at 30” wide. Of course they don’t grow! Beside the point you want to talk **** saying people only say stuff because they can’t afford this they can’t afford that or their jealous. Bro you really know how much these people make? Good for you you got a couple of chips to buy and flip tanks, or ask people for “rescue fish” then flipping them a month later

First ,you are a dum ass,,,I think you just spend all your time in your phone checking what people are posting in mfk,, or what they have in their tanks,,
Second some of you just talk **** about how fast red tails ,etc grows,,and the owner is stupid for having them, most of you don't know **** about fish ,, third,,not once you saw a post of me selling a fish,,i buy fish from some of you,,i dont sell,,i sell tanks when I don't need them,,non of your business if I make extra,,when I sell,,and last. I have over 150 monster fish in my 500g tanks,ponds,etc,, my tanks are "36 deep ,,not "30 you dum ass,,if you keep a red tail that's "30 in a tank ,something wrong with you,,and most of you Do it,, for your info,,I have a indoor ponds and outdoor ponds,,where I keep my rescue fish,, that I take from people , so mind your own business about other people,,and what they keep,,and yes the gars are slow growing,, I have them in tanks and ponds,,not much differences,,do your research before you talk ****,, much different from the wild,, this is a site about selling **** not a site where you talk **** about other members,,
