A few months ago I took home a male and a female j.d. from the lfs. They were dumped off by locals and were being housed with an r.d. The fins were very damaged and the bellies were extremely sunken. I took them home for free ( not the 1st time, had a free convict that turned out good ). This time I haven't been able to get them into good shape. The female will lay eggs but they don't hatch. THe bellies don't seem to ever fill out and some fins are irrepairable. I'd bring them back but can't do it with a clean conscience.
