I know it's weird that I'm asking this, but I've visited 4 LFS in the past 2 days and not one of them has any duckweed that I can take, which is unusual because usually they're in abundance. So if anyone wants to mail me a small little package of duckweed, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Or any other floating aquatic plant i'll take too like anacharis, water sprite, etc. ;)

oh yeah I can do that. It might be a little $ for the packaging though, Idk how to send it. Im in OK though so Idk about the distance. You might get a few more responses though by putting "wanted: free duckweed, socal valley". I only clicked on this because I thought you were giving it away and was gunna say "hah yeah, I hate duckweed too, i usually just throw it in the garden" : p

you could send a bunch USPS small flat rate box for $4.95, just pack them in a ziplock bag and surround it in newspaper or paper towels :D

I sent a bunch of plants from Canada to Florida and they made it no problem. wrapped in wet paper towel, ziplock back inside a small tupperware. Made it fine.

Haha, yeah I realized that the title is a little confusing after I made the thread, but yeah, if you have some I'd love to take it off your hands. I don't think you need a box to ship them in, just one of those cheap large envelopes. Just take a clump of duckweed and place it on a wet towel, fold the towel over it, and stick it in a ziplock bag. Duckweed is pretty hardy and I doubt 4 days without sunlight will kill it off, and even if it does, it was pretty much free anyways. If you go that way, I'd be down to pay for the shipping costs then. So basically, i'm not looking to spend more than a dollar or two on this ;).

Sorry, I'm not allowed to have a 60 (tho i would love one) cause of the parentals, and it's not worth the drive for duckweed.
