Free fish food high in protein and fat!!!

Black soldier flies are flies for only a few days of their lives when they mate and females lay eggs and die. The larvae convert ALL wastes into protein and fat by eating what ever rotten food or poo you put in their bin to eat. They get bigger and harvest themselves by crawling up and out of the bin for you to feed to your fish. They repell flies and do NOT have an odor. Unlike compost worms they can eat all meats.
I admit it seemed too "green" for me (I drive a 93 bronco) but it saves me money and cuts down on my trash. I rarely make trips to the pet store and my garbage bin doesn't really stink cuz rotten food goes in my black soldier fly bin.
 
I forgot to mention the flies look like black wasps, but they don't swarm, sting or bite. In fact they don't even have mouth parts. I have seen one or two but they pretty much stay low key.
I used to have up to 9 tanks running all full of cichlids until I got burnt out and sold em all. But months ago I got my dovii back because he was terrorizing his tank mates. Since then I been working with this larvae bin and feeding him pellets just once a week. He seems fat and healthy.
I would love to hear from any one who has tried this. If it worked or not. I can't imagin I'm the only one
