I think vinegar would do a better job of dissolving the crud thats likely to be stuck to the bottom of a rodent or reptile tank.make sure its really clean then rinse it alot
thanks guys i have used 1/10 ratio of bleach and have let it sit for a half of day. tomorrow i will rinse the tank several times and I will go from there.
