me and my wife was filling up at a 76 gas station. when a guy asked for some change because they don't have any money left for gas. i told them i'm using credit card. so he went away. after filling up i went to those express car wash. talking to my wife we decided to give them some gas.
i make a turn and went back. they were still their. and i told them i'll fill their tank full with my credit card. i was stunned when the guys goes... " no never mind i don't want it". beside him was his friend and said... " thank you.. (told his friend) what do you mean???!"
the other first guy goes.. " i called my bro already no need"
the second guy goes..." i don't want to wait for your bro"
(keep in mind his bro is comming from sta. monica. and the gas station is at hacienda heights, ca around 30-35 miles away and it was rush hour)
so i again offered him since i slide my card already. the first guy insist and said no.
i felt like a
... giving free gas ... i only did it once and it was declined???
never again will i offer free gas to anyone. felt so stupid when he said NO to me... as if i was the one begging for him to let me fill his tank.
sometimes people just have too much EGO in them... being humble enough to accept would be very nice polite.
