free glass, can i use it??

at a recent job I was given 4- 4ftx7ft sheets of 1/2 in glass, it was used as dividers between cubicles. i have considered a DIY tank for some time, could i build a 7 x 36 x 24high? with this glass, I have disassembled tanks and sealed them so im not nervous about that, just the strength of the glass, i see many tanks with tempered bottoms which this glass is not.

i dont know if thats safe but if it is, good for you man!!!! saving yourself tons of money, hope that works out. I dont see why not though, id try to google it really quick

my 30" tall tanks are 1/2", so I would think that it would be ok.
