Free live rock!!!??????????

I got these two pieces of live rock today from a friend who took down his tank (can't afford it) and I'm kind of in a bind now!!!
I don't have much room in my tank for 10-12 lbs more of live rock!!!
What the hell should I do???

I was thinking of putting some of the smaller pieces I have in the tank now in my sump I'm gonna build next week so right now the new live rock is in a bucket with a pump and a small heater with saltwater in it!!!

Is ity good to have live rock in a refugium? I think soo??!?

It appears to be very dark purple, and it's quite hard so I'm not sure???
Gonna let it sit in the bucket for at least a week!!
