Well, I hate to do this (
) but I need to find homes for my 2 Oscars. I am moving soon and do not have a way to set up a new tank to move them into. They are currently in a 125g tank
1 is a 9"+ male, and the other is a 7" female. The male is definitely a Tiger Oscar. The female was advertised as a Tiger Oscar when I bought her as a juvi but the older she gets the more I think she might be a common Oscar. She has a beautiful dark base. I really really hate to give these fish up.
As far as the male, I got him a few months ago with gill erosion and fin rott. He was in a 75 gallon with a 16" Black Piranha with a single HOB filter. Since he has been in my tank, he has recovered nicely but still has a bit to go. The gill erosion is filling, and his color is improving
The two Oscars get along great, It was rough in the beginning but they have worked it out, Now they constantly swim beside each other. Most of the time the male is on the top and the female is on the bottom. I would be willing to bet they breed.
Im not asking for money because I want them to go to a good home. Preferably a 6 foot tank with limited tank mates. I think they will probably be breeders and Im sure they will be rough on other fish.
I will post some pics when I get a chance
