im in south florida and i took my neice to get 1 and the lfs told us that the game warden had came and took all of there turtles and told them that if they catch them with any more in the store $100 fine each something about them being endangered ill try 2 find a site with info

its only for turts under 3", they have a higher chance of having diseases.

You can catch them in lakes all over florida.

I doubt that they are illegal in Cali, lol. My lfs always has them for sale.

They aren't illegal. They were probably selling them under 4" that is why they are illegal.
