I lurk on this site a lot, and about a month ago I bought a polypterous. I only have small aquariums so he was just temporary, I have a fish store that will take him, but wanted to see if anybody else would like him first, and for a bad quality photo:
He's a fast grower (for a poly)! Went from barely being able to grab a meat pellet to swallowing one hole in about a month, or less (also gets frozen bloodworms, platy fry, shrimp pellets). As far as length...I'd say 3.5in. I can hold him until he gets a bit bigger as well if need be.
I also have an African Butterfly Cichlid, he's a bit much for my peaceful tank, and 5 Serpae Tetras (need to downsize)...so anybody near Central PA wanting any of these gimme an e-mail: restyourtrigger@gmail.com, I'll check here for responses as well. I'm willing to meet up to an hour away.
