I bought two catfish for my big predator tank, thinking that the store owner's estimate for their TL (4-5") sounded pretty normal for a synodontis. After some research, I learned that while the hemisynodontis membraneceus would be great for a predator tank, two of them would definitely be too many just based on their TL of 11 inches.

I was happy to learn that their prey consist of the smallest fw prey, like daphnia, bloodworms, brine shrimp, but that they can take pellets and other small items. So I'm not worried about them chomping on my delhezi bichirs, but I know two would be one too many.

I bought them because they are very unique looking, with a black handlebar moustache and spots. They were also swimming upside-down alot, which I know is pretty characteristic of synos.

I don't mind taking a loss, I just want it to go to a good home.

PM me if you want it. It should do well in any tank with big fish, its only 3" right now.

local pickup only,

Here are pictures of both, your pick:

I've decided not to give away the fish; the bigger cat has a deformity, so I want to keep the smaller one.
