can you guys tell how many gal a corner tank 23" h x 27" x 27" bow front? i was told 75 gal but it just dosent look that big.

If you use the conversion up on the top of the main page here at MFK you'll get 72.69 gallons for a 27x27x23 tank....devide by 2 and add a bit for the bow front and I say about 40-45 gals...erider;1989494; said:

You have to calculate the bottom area and then multiply by the height (formula for cylinder). Divide by 12^3 or 1728 to convert from inches to feet. This gives you the cubic feet in the cylinder. Then divide by four to find the volume in the tank and multiply by 7.5 to convert to gallons.

thanks guys i was told it was 75 but it just didnt look that big. 57 looks right i may use 5 gal pal to measure.
