Are these good for doviis,i think they would really bring out the colors in my male dovii.my dovii really seems to like large insects.i caught two 3 inch crickets, and he viciously attacked them.:headbang2

ill post pics of my beast soon.

should i make crickets part of his staple diet.

They will be fine for him.I feed my fish crickets on occasion:)

They have those canned ones for lizards, I think ZooMed makes them...if he likes bugs maybe try getting the locusts, they're big & fat.

My oscar loves freeze dried crickets. I only feed him crickets occasionally as treats and feed him pellets as a staple.

The only reason i feed crickets is because they are live not much point if they are dryed

no your wrong about that.... crickets, even freeze dried ones are amazingly nutritious. They can be fed with pellets as a staple. They promote growth and colours.

Never. Always have flakes/pellets as a staple diet. Although you could feed him crickets up to 4x a week at max? Someone correct me if Im wrong. I've never used crickets as a fish diet. But in the wild, Im sure they would eat many insects.
