I've heard from numerous people that freeze dried foods (bloodworms, bring shrimp, etc) give fish bloat.
is that true?

I could see the logic behind this as freeze dried foods do expand when they're wet by soaking up the water, but honestly I've been feeding fd foods for years and I've never had bloat. I would just say to soak it for a little bit before feeding and try to avoid feeding it dry to your fish. Actually I can't even see how they would eat it dry unless they were jumping out of the water ala oscars and eating it out of your hand.

Moderation is the key. Some people fail to understand the word when they are asked not to overfeed or fatten their fish too much.

becasue it's really cool to see my 6 inch columbian shark swim upside-down with his mouth open eating them :)
