I ran out of Hikari food Sticks for my jardini, and silver yesterday. So i decided to get something different, and purchased freeze dried krill. I wasn't sure if they would take it. It took me a month to get them on the food sticks. To my surprise they ate the krill. So my question is when i get some food sticks will they remember it and accept it?

My Fish go for FD Krill all the time. I'll try to switch it up, but they want their krill. I usually have to starve them before they'll take pellets again.

Live food beats sticks any day. So it might take them awhile to get used to eatting the sticks.

Do yo guys do anything special to the FD krill prior to feeding, like pre soaking it?

i use to use fd krill then i moved on to frozen shrimp without the tails i by it at the supermarket owe boy do they love it i put it in a cup of water and in the microwave for 1min to thaw and i also use pellets

my silver eats anything that floats. i fed my pike FD krill...but the arow ate it before the pike. i try to vary the arows diet.

I've done both soaked and non-soaked. Soaking them will make them sink. Since it's for an Aro, you don't need to soak them.

for all of my fish aro and jar included I would switch back and forth btw FD Krill Food Sticks, Pellets fresh/frozen foods etc. I never had a problem with them not accepting any of them. I also would pre-soak the krill to soften it up a bit and to make sure the bottom feeders got some too.

livefood always the best compare sticks :D try mealworms...my aro love it!! if krill i suggest ur aro shud lenght atlest 15inch...afraid chocking
