freeze dried shrimp

Its probubly fine but market shrimp are MUCH cheaper per pound if you shop around and a lot better for them. A small pair of snips is all you need to cut them up for the smaller dudes.

You should have no problem with it, but it would cost way more... although they may be a little better nutritionally, since they would eat more of the fd than the raw... and as long as the dehydration didn't take out too much of the nutrition then they would get more nutrition before they got full...

ya this freeze dried shrimp makes em grow like crazy
i have market shrimp also
but the freeze dried shrimp isnt freeze dried market shrimp
its this weird asian stuff i bought from my lfs

shrimp is shrimp and no processed food is ever as healthy as natural foods.

But frozen market shrimp isn't exactly the same as "natural" live foods either. I do agree though that fd shrimp is probably not quite as nutritional as frozen market shrimp.

The fish used as feeders are very inadiquate...from a nutritional stand point. Besides I don't feed market shrimp by themselves. The question was... if freeze dryed was any good...
