fresh water crabs

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've been looking for crabs, shrimp, and crayfish to add to my fw aquarium. The only crabs I've even seen are fiddler craps. But i think they need a spot out of the water and require aquarium salt also.

There are fully aquatic dwarf crabs that have just recently reached the hobby. They're smaller than a dime and can be kept in nano setups.
A true mini is the micro spider crab (Limnopilos naiyanetri). You can fit a few on a dime. This is a hair algae grazer that can be kept as you would CRS. They're safe with small fish.

those are really cool, I might want to add some to my nano planted tank if I can get my hands on some, but you mentioned that they're relatively new to the hobby so it'll probably take a while before I see some online for a really cheap price.

Frank's Aquarium has them for $20/6.
