I have had one for a few days now. He is an awesome fish. They are said to be more active at night but this guy hasn't slowed down. My problem is that he's kind of a jerk to all my other fish. Relentlessly chasing them around and causing havoc.
Does anyone know if this is common? At the store they had him with some small Iridescent Sharks so I figured he wasn't all that aggressive.

Always liked these guys. Pretty active swimmers. They can be a bit aggressive especially toward bottom feeders.

Sometimes it can be excessive that the morymid or the picked on fish will need to be moved. I have had smaller schools of barbs with them to act as a dither. This helps to calm their inquisitiveness till they get used to the tank.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I love how active he is, I just hope he chills out on the chasing around the others. He seems to have his moments where he's relentless, then chills. The activity in my tank is great though.

I love these guys. I'd love to have one. From what I understand they are better off not having tank mates because they can be relentless.

Are you going to be training it?

Haven't really thought about that. I didn't go looking for him. I saw him at the pet store near my house for $35 and figured what the heck?
