my friend found two eel's (i think there eels they look like snakes though) in the creek
they are not big there about 2" maybe a bit smaller

i was wondering if i could put them into my tropical tank??

like leave them in there own tank for a bit and then put them after a few weeks of being in fresh water...?

any suggestions??

ill get pic s soon

They won't be rope fish seeing as oohsweetness is in Australia.

It will either be a Anguilla australis (Australian short-finned eel) or Anguilla reinhardtii (Long-finned eel)

It will be fine in the tank, just make sure there are no escape holes because it will find it and you will be left with a dry dead eel. And they are fin nippers, my Saratoga constantly has damaged fins because of my short-finned eel.

i cant get a picture of the two
because they move so much there all blurry im
sorry

but they have little fins behind there head on the side
and the fins start half way down there bodies

Are they a solid brown colour or do they have a mottled green and brown colour?

At 2 inches they would be a year or 2 old.
