HAS ANYBODY EVER TRIED TO KEEP FRESH WATER LAKE PERCH? I'VE BEEN TOLD BY PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT REALLY INTO KEEPING FISH THAT IT CAN'T BE DONE. I HAVE A EMPTY 135 GAL. AND WOULD TO TRY. ANY HELP OR IDEAS?

lake perch? are you talking about the Nile perch? johnptc has like 3 in his 10000 gal tank...

lots of different species of perch :)

I assume you are wondering about keeping N. American native perch. No I have not kept one yet, but I do keep native species. Northern pike minnow (squaw fish) . I suggest on perch that you keep the water well oxygenated and 70 degrees or cooler. 75 gallons should be plenty of room for several perch. However I suspect this fish may not tolerate others of its kind and may be territorial. Start out with young specimens if possible as I have had my best luck acclimating native fish to aquarium life.
