Fresh water Snowflake Eels

Any idea on how to wing snowflake eels of live fish and start eating pellets? What would happen if I completely stop live fish and he can't eat anything live? Would he go for the pellets?

I tried and he went 2 months without eating and got too skinny and I just had to start feeding him live foods again. From what I've been told these guys seem just about impossible to take dry foods.
 
Have you tried bloodworm?
Small chunks of fish etc?

With a difficult Reedfish in the past, I soaked pellets in liquid from bloodworm.
Took a few tries, but it eventually got the hint.
 
when I had two snowflakes they took frozen shrimp and squid

buy all fish already weaned off live. that's my secret
 
I had one eating carni sticks and I got him a Lil bigger than a golf pencil so he didn't really know bettrr

Thanks for all the replies guys. I just want to stop with the love fish and just do pellets. Now when some of you say you do frozen foods you mean like the bloodworms etc? How's shrimp from like an Asian market? Non cooked?

frozen market shrimp with shell on and frozen squid, also frozen silversides

you only take out what you are gonna feed and thaw it for few minutes in cold water. peel shrimp and cut to the size they can eat.

no cooking, feed raw
 
the squid I bought was already chopped up and frozen. I just thaw and feed

plus I bought it from an lfs, so what you find in there is already prepped and sold for the purpose of feeding fish

the shrimp though you can buy from any grocery store/market. buy them raw and with shell on
