Can you give me some pictures of the fresh and brackish stone fish I have recently purchased one that is currently in fresh seems to be doing fine but I'd like to make sure Im caring for him properly. I know it would be easier for me to post a picture myself for you to analyze but I cant find my download cord at the moment if I can find it I will post picture but until then I'd love to have some pictures to compare him to.

Thanks,

I keep mine in FW, contrary to popular belief the can live a long healthy life in FW or BW...I have talked to several very knowledgable fishkeepers who have kept Lionfish/stonefish etc in fresh water for many years with no issues. The myth they have to have BW is just that,"a myth". You cant believe everything you read on the net. Personl experience overrules IMO.....There will be ppl who disagree but everybody has an opinion weather they have experience or not...

good to know he will more then likely be fine in fresh water are there ant special parameters I should keep? My nitrates nitrites are alaways low to 0, PH is around 7.6 should this be alright?

Ph should be fine.. I agree with piggy67..I have a toadfish-stonefish lionfish whatever you want to call them, in 100% fresh water. No issues at all..

alright last question, unless there is something else I should know. current tank mates are soon hock, chaca, and L075 para pleco sound ok?

So I found him dead in my tank today, covered in what looks like velvet but he was fine when I went to sleep. This is the second time this has happened what am I doing wrong?
