Freshwater aquarium display

So currently I am a college student and during the summer I work at a library near my house. Me and my boss both enjoy freshwater ecology and all things related to freshwater biology and are putting together an aquarium display in the library for the summer. We would like to educate the public on numerous topics related to freshwater ecology and related fields. The display would only last the duration of the summer unless it is a great success then further planning will be needed. I am from Minnesota and work for the Saint Paul Public Libraries. I am currently going around to local fish stores asking for donations for our project. If any of you guys know of anyone that would be willing to donate supplies or anything that would help us educate the public on this hobby and freshwater ecology please let me know. Any little bit would help. Feel free to suggest a stock list and any other ideas.

Good idea. I think a native tank would be a good route, always nice to learn about what's in your own backyard.

Yeah that's what I was planning on doing, I have a bunch of native tanks so I was going to use a bunch of different fish from my tanks to get a wide variety of species. I think it will turn out pretty cool.
