I was told by my LFS that i they can get a hold of a freshwater stingray is that possible i asked another pet store the guy there also said, he can get them, I know the blue spotted sting rays(B.S.S.) are saltwalter fish. i Try alot of other stores they never heard of it, I figure that it was saltwater stingray, turn into freshwater. I seen a picture in a book that a saltwater B.S.S. gets a foot long, but i seen pictures with scuba divers bigger than a foot it was like 2feet!??:screwy:
the guy said that he can get a hold of a FRESHWater BLUE SPOTTED STINGRAY but said, that it will cost close to $300.00dollars(In my mind, I'm thinkin I'm; game/down for it) I'm just wasn't so sure about it?(B.S.S.)

could be a "blue spot" motoro. basically its a motoro with blue edges around the disk, and sometimes the rings look blue too. otherwise the blue spot stingray is the saltwater one. o yepezi have blue colouring i think

There is a motoro (also commonly known as a spotted ray or orange spot ray) varient call a blue motoro as stated above it has a blue hue along the edge of the disc, it usually fades out. $300 is kind of a high price depending on the size, but after you would consider shipping cost and price of the animal it may all just work out. But a paying price is only valued by the desire and demand of someone wishing to pay for it.

Yepezi are usually tan/olive in color with darker markings that sort of look like someone flicked a dripping paint brush over them.

Now, Mantilla ray are redish-brown/orangish-tan with blueish squiggly line markings, no spots though.

i agree! i'm the type of person who is willing to buy any fish that i can get my hands on don't matter of price too much. Does anyone got or can get pictures of these blue or orange spotted stingray?(this just sounds too good to my true.... but i still like it.)
