I have 2 Cichlid Tanks a 55 with 4 Convicts and a 125 with 1 Blood Parrot, 1 Earth Eater, 1 Eastern Pacific, 2 African Cichlids...My question is are there any freshwater rays or Freshwater Puffers I could get...I have a new 75 gallon and just looking for stocking ideas I'm relatively new and not sure of all the types out there...if their are some options please point me to somewhere I might be able to attain such species...

Retic could work in a 75 or 125 for a year give or take a few months. Before buying anything study up. It will greatly benefit you and the ray. Make sure the ray is eating also I've read many stories of people having trouble getting teacup retics to eat.

What kind of set up do these tanks have? Ray are very sensitive to poor water and ammonia spikes. So make sure you do daily water changes and keep the water parameters consistent.

Bare or sand is good doesn't really matter. Go to the stingray subforum and read the stickies and other people's threads on retics.

my retics outgrew a 75 footprint in less then 1yr. ( both female and male) imo you need at least a 2'x4' footprint 120wide is the general tank size or larger.. and tbh a 180 2'x6' would be better. rays are very dirty fish and very delicate fish... they are very rewarding fish as well.. and their stingers can be dangerous if not respected... and on that note i would not house mine with cichlids.. i've heard of people houseing them with eartheaters ect.. but more aggressiver fish tend to go for teh rays eyes or otherwise harass them. they are also expensive to feed in general compared to other fish. a few things to consider.. but i would def go to the ray sub-forum and read the stickies ect and do some reading there.
