I am considering building a tank to stock with fish I catch in Colorado in rivers and lakes...(Bass, crapper, trout, etc.) I was thinking about building the tank and making it 8'x4'x4'. Which is about 800 gallons. I also wanting to put it outside so it can be closer to there environment. What do I need to do to make this a reality?

Have you decided what materials you'd like to use?

I haven't...I have been collecting rocks and decorations from the environment... Mostly out of the Pourde River. I wanna take water samples of the water I catch them in.

Im not too sure if it could go outside. you should do a DIY Plywood build (tons of them all over the internet just look) and invest in a chiller, the chiller wont be cheap for an 800 gallon tank but the plywood tank should only cost you around 400-500 dollars.

Be careful transporting LIVE game fish. Its illegal in California (along with everything else). Also, keep in mind, your tank is not as deep as some of the holes fish retreat into, during extreme temperatures (hot and cold). Good luck.
