Hi all---finally got my hands on a freshwater dolphin (mormyrid)--he's gorgeous, about 6 inches. Just got him yesterday, unfortunately the aquatics store wasn't sure what to feed him, since he just arrived.

I tried bloodworms but since they are nocturnal have not seen him actually eat yet--does anyone know what diet to feed these fish?

Thanks.

worms-night crallers earth worms, blk worms try a varity.

They have these all the time in my lfs. They eat bloodworms, tubifex worms, worms, brine shrimp. almost all live foods. They're called elephant noses around here.

same here. :) any luck yet.

There are many fish in the mormyrid family.
