From what I have read on them as they get older you have to acclimate them into a saltwater tank. They are saltwater rays that made there way into the freshwater rivers of florida, and have acclimated to living in freshwater.

LOL - Suuuuuuuure. They also have the latin name wrong and those are legal in CA. My take is if the seller doesn't know what they have, no way in the world they can be trusted to buy from.
As posted they are marine rays. There is a population living in FW, but those aren't the ones in the pet trade. The ones in FW produce massive amount of waste to offset being in FW instead of salt. They do much better in saltwater, and young ones in FW need to transition to salt as they grow.

Not really good lest you have a highly overfiltered tank that is at least 10 times the required size that you would need for a regular SA Stingray.
