We got some of these in, but I read they actually prefer brackish water. Any experience?

they are found in fresh and brackish. they do better in brackish, even if it is semi brackish, its better than fresh. they are already hard enough to keep alive so any added salt will give you better chances. i got my tank abot 10% salt and i just lost 1of 2 that i got friday, maybe both. i havent found the second one. good luck and post a pic

I didn't get any, I don't have a brackish tank. I'm going to move them in the store.

I was wondering the same thing as "Weylin", what do they eat,
and "Weylin" what tank mates wouldn't eat them?
I would love to have 1 or 2

I have a 55 gal brackish tank
2 Monos (Fingerfish)
1 Archer Fish
1 Horseface Loach
1 Malawian Chichlid (She's an experiement in here)
2 Orange Chromides
1 Blue Acara
A few Mollies and Platies as feeder fish

I'm thinking of getting
1 Scat
Possibly some Bumblebee Gobies
Possibly another Horseface Loach

Would any of these eat a flounder?

are you guy talking about cheap flounder from jacks' aquarium? if so, those are brackish. i would not keep them with anything other than bumble bee gobies or other slow fish, otherwise they will starve. they are very shy.
if you are talking about more expensive flounder $20 and up (those are from south america) and tongue fish, than those are pure fresh water. but still should only be kept with slow moving fish or by themselves.
