Freshwater grouper

I just bought a freshwater Grouper. I dont know if it will leave though. I added salt but don't know how much. I tasted the water and its abit salty. I put in some goldfish feeders for the grouper to eat. But it seems that it is not interested at all. What should i feed it?

You should also get a hydrometer to accurately test the salt level.

I fo not believe there is such a fish. Sounds like a SW fish, forced into FW/BW.

groupers can be found in fresh water and esturies but i think they need full marine long term, what salt did you use (marine salt or table salt) and did you put it straight into the tank or mix it first?
a pic would help, how long had the lfs you got it from had it for
