I have or have had several species.. Where you look for them will depend on the species you would want to keep.. I.E. Blood feeding, Snail feeding, Worm feeder, Detritus feeder etc. There are many many many different species. Truly are fascinating little buggers..

Go to leeches.biz, I haven't ordered any yet but I intend to, they have a good reputation from what I have heard

Yes they are good if your looking for the European medicinal species Hirudo Medicinalis.. Reasonably priced as well. My first group cost me $20 per leech but that was about 10 years ago. Propagating them is really not at all difficult. I still have descendents of my original 10. And yeah they are useful to have around. I have used them for years for a variety of ailments and injuries.. Leeches are really as said earlier a really fascinating animal with an unfortunately very misunderstood nature.

I read about them, now I kinda want some. I know they don't have to eat for a year but still what should you feed them?
