Hi is the freshwater lion fish 100% freshwater or is it brackish

It's brackish, or even full salt. You're from New York too? Think of them as the same as our Oyster Toadfish. They're both in the same genus and are very similar, other than diet.

I've heard many mixed answers on this subject but i was interested to find out. i read that they migrate between fresh and brackish so you could keep them in fresh but it doesn't seem right because their more of a brackish water fish.

I've learnt when people say the mitiate between water salinities that most the time that means they are a brackish / marnine fish and not actually true freshwater fish...
