Hi i decided to put an eel in with my oscars and i didnt know the moray eel was suppose to be brackish tank water.. anyway i added a little salt after this.. i added maybe 1 tbs per 5 gallon so it wont hurt my oscar until i get another tank setup in a couple weeks... after about a week i notice a cotton looking fuzz growing on the eels body??? is this bacteria or fungus? what can i do? anyone know?

If you don't separate the eel from other fish it will continue to get picked on and inevitably die. You need to get it away from the aggressor ASAP. Once in an appropriate quarantine/hospital tank, perhaps treat with furan or something for fungus if that is what the ailment is.

Also this is essentially a marine fish...a tank suited for it will not work for the oscar, so plan accordingly for the long term. Brackish or marine
