hey guys, so they just got in a freshwater moray eel at the lfs.. they said some guy brought it in because it wasnt doing well in his tank.. it seems to be doing well at the lfs though. its very active. its about 10in but its really skinny, like about twice the diameter of a pencil.. the guy didnt seem to know anything about them really and there only selling it for $8 so i figured thats a pretty decent price.
what can you guys tell me about this eel. is it really freshwater or is it brackish? how big do they get? and what size tank would you reccomend? i got 2 20g tanks, one of which is pretty overstocked and the other one is just collecting dust at the moment.. my biggest tank is only a 55g and thats pretty overstocked as well so i figured i proabably shouldnt make any impulse decisions..
