Freshwater Moray eels

amazing creatures! If you buy one and keep good care of it , it will live longer than you most likely.
 
Are they truly freshwater fish or do they need brackish eventually? Because if they are freshwater I am down.
 
Pedro are these guys actually truly freshwater? If they are I will probably swing by the shop tomorrow to get one.
 
They have two of these at my LFS about 7inches long. They are asking for about $5 each i was very interested as i have TT eel and Fire eel, do you guys know if they can co-exist. Or are these fish really not for amateur fish keepers? Obviously i know these things get huge and will eventually need to be rehoused in a big tank. I am soon upgrading to a 300gal.
